You can ask the same question for any popular Windows program, not just Quicken. Non-tech people use programs, not Operating Systems. They don't care which OS they are using, as long as it works for what they need it for. To them, a PC is a calculator that runs Windows.

We have heard so many people say that they would have migrated to Linux if there were Quicken for Linux. Not GnuCash, not TurboCash, but the real Quicken from Intuit.

Any idea why has Intuit been avoiding Quicken for Linux?
