Tribler: Decentralized torrent downloads
Tribler is an open source peer to peer client. Tribler is based on the BitTorrent protocol and allows you to search for content without having to use an external website. You search for torrents on other people's computer instead of having to find torrents on an indexing site. The great benefit of this is that even though your favourite torrent sites might be taken down you can still search for torrent files from other peers. In recent weeks there has been huge interest in Tribler and I hope that they will be able to capitalize on this new fan base. If they can make their client more feature and content rich they might become extremely popular. To download and check out what all the fuss is about go to the Tribler website.
