Mint Linux 7 released

Mint Linux 7 which is called Gloria has been released. There are numerous bug fixes and a lot of improvements. Mint Linux is based on Ubuntu 9.04. It features Linux kernel 2.6.28 and Gnome 2.26.  It looks like a lot of effort went into making this new release. There is new artwork and the gui has been polished. Mint menu now comes with suggestions if you don't find what you are looking for. Mint install also includes featured applications for easy installation. Mint Linux is one of the more popular distributions out there. It is easy to use and has a lot of important applications pre installed so that a new user doesn't have to tweak their Operating System. This is a great distribution for newcomers to Linux.
