Linux: A great gaming machine

Linux has some really nice games. They are of good quality and are free. A lot of people complain that Linux does not have a lot of games or that they are not very good. This is true to some degree but what you have to keep in mind is that the Linux market share is only one percent of desktop computers. Most people and companies will create games for larger share of the market. Also, most of the games that are made for Linux do not have the funding that games for Windows or Mac OS have. They are free to download and use and usually the project relies on donations to keep development going. However, if you do try out Linux games you will be pleasantly suprised at how good these games are. They have great graphics, lots of action and fun factor. With minimum funding and small market share some of these games are able to compete and beat proprietary games for Windows and Mac OS. Now that more people are switching to Linux the games are being improved and new game projects are being released. Below is a list of games to get you started gaming on Linux. Besides this list there are plenty of other games to discover.

1. Warzone 2100 - Great real time strategy game
