Linux: A beginners guide

There is still a huge number of people out there that do not know what Linux is. This guide is for beginners without all the technical stuff. Just plain, simple and concise. Linux is a free operating system created by Linus Torvalds and a huge community of volunteers. It is a very decent operating system. One of the best Linux distributions out there is Ubuntu Linux. You can go to their website here and learn more about it. Linux allows you to do pretty much anything you would use your Windows or Mac computers for. The main idea behind Linux is that it is free and open source. Anyone can contribute and pass on their code to others. It has a very good philosophy and is a neat project. It is definitely something people should learn about and try. For more information just type in Linux into your search engine or check out the Wikipedia page for Linux.
